The Spanish Economic Review publishes scientific articles in any field of economics and management. In contrast with recent trends toward highly specialized journals, the Review shall emphasize high quality standards while maintaining a broad range of topics.

Theory and applications, in any combination, are equally welcome. Small symposia, grouping different papers on a related topic, will be part of some of the issues (write to the editor if you want to suggest a symposium issue). These topics can be chosen from a wide spectrum, but we definitely commit to devote space to the European economy.

The Spanish Economic Review builds upon the experience of the Revista Española de Economía, which was one of the journals through which Spanish economists achieved their convergence process toward standard scientific practices. Now, with an unrestrictively international scope, and published entirely in English, the Review shall use this expertise in providing fair and speedy refereeing to a larger set of authors.

The Spanish Economic Review is included in the Social Science Citation Index, Social SciSearch, and ISI Alerting Services and will first appear in 2008 Journal Citation Reports (JCR), published in June 2009.

Abstracted/Indexed in: E-JEL, EBSCO, ECONIS, EconLit, Expanded Academic, International Bibliography of the Social Sciences (IBSS), ISI Alerting Services, JEL on CD, Journal of Economic Literature, Research Papers in Economics (RePEc), SCOPUS, Social Science Citation Index (SSCI), Social Science Research Network (SSRN), Social SciSearch.
